Gene, Spica and pets

Relaxing is a hard skill to learn, but we are making progress...

Do trees really need hugs?

Pets are the most useful companions to keep you cozy in the winter

There is nothing that Titian, our well-loved border collie, enjoyed more than a ride on the "gator"

although playing with his red bone came as a close second. We miss you Titian!

Theo was a very lovable cat, and a great hunter.

However, he had become too fearless, and ended up himself as a prey (probably just a small snack for the coyotes)...

We miss you Theo...

Please let me in! Look at what I brought you...

No, hummingbirds are not pets. They are as WILD as can be. This one was not tamed, just too thirsty to wait for me to hang up the feeder...

We couldn't live here without this big tractor.

No, Jim. We don't swim in the pond, not with cottonmouth snakes around!

However, we do swim nearly every day in our nice indoor (Endless) pool. Don't forget your bathing suit when you come for a visit...

Here are the latest additions to our household:

Sandy, our sweet little purring monkey-monster of a cat.

and Jo, our new dog, shown here at age 5 months. So innocent looking... but you can be sure that she is always the guilty one when something -- anything -- is found chewed up and destroyed.

Jo, eight-month old. She is really big, and still growing.
